What’s Next for Snowless Night – Our Updated Roadmap

December 31, 2024

As of December 31, 2024, we want to share a transparent and heartfelt update about where things are heading with Snowless Night and VinoGames as a whole.

First of all, thank you to everyone who has played, reviewed, or even just wishlisted Snowless Night. Your support means the world to us. Snowless Night was our first big release — a funny VR shooter that we poured ourselves into for months.

But making a VR game of this scale — especially with handcrafted environments, evolving puzzles, and voice-acted cassette tapes — is a massive task. And we’re only two people. Right now, due to some small personal issues and just the realities of solo indie development, we’ve decided to hit pause on new Snowless Night content for the time being.

Don’t worry — this isn’t goodbye. Snowless Night is not abandoned. We love the world we created, and we have big ideas for where it could go. But we’ve realized that finishing the full vision will take time, budget, and a bigger support base.

That’s why we’re shifting our focus for now. Instead of trying to tackle something too big, we want to build something smaller — a tightly-crafted, stylish indie game that we can finish and polish within a shorter timeframe. It’s not just a side project — it’s something that excites us creatively.

We believe this is the smarter path forward: to create beautiful, intriguing games that reflect our voice and build momentum. If these smaller titles connect with players, they can also help fund Snowless Night’s full return.

In the meantime, the current version of Snowless Night will remain available on Steam Early Access. We’ll continue to collect feedback, fix bugs, and support it as best we can while we work on what comes next.

When we return to Snowless Night, we want to do it with clarity, energy, and the means to do it justice. And with your continued support, we believe that moment will come.

Thank you for believing in us, in weird ideas, and in games made with heart — even when they’re not easy to finish.
